THE BEGINNING OF THE ROAD
Heatrick & Co was established in 1969 by Robert Heatrick after investing in a Ford backhoe loader to undertake drainage contracts for local businesses in the Armagh area, as the company grew it began to diversify into civil engineering completing many contracts throughout Northern Ireland.
A NEW ERA
After many years of civil engineering the company evolved and began specialising in Demolition, after securing many major contracts in Northern Ireland and throughout the UK the company continued to expand its fleet of trucks and excavators to meet the demands of our clients.
ON THE ROAD AGAIN
By the year 2000 the company began to make its mark on the haulage industry with significant investment in its fleet of trucks and trailers which led to the undertaking of many major haulage contracts throughout the UK. R. Heatrick Ltd continued its growth with the addition of over 150 bulk tipping trailers before further expanding into the provision of waste haulage solutions with the use of both ejector and walking floor trailers.
EVER EXPANDING
In 2007 R. Heatrick Ltd ventured into quarry aggregates with the acquisition of a quarry based in the outskirts of Lisburn. To this day the quarry remains operational providing quality aggregate as well as clay disposal in the Lisburn and Belfast areas.
SKIPWAY AQUISITION
Having gained many years of experience in the recycling of demolition wastes R. Heatrick Ltd invested in a Skip Hire and Materials Recovery Facility in Belfast by the acquisition of a dissolved company, Skipway Waste Management. following this acquisition R. Heatrick Ltd continued to grow under the Skipway trading name and became a major force in the recycling industry through investment, innovation and providing a fast and reliable service that’s unparalleled to that of our competitors.
CELEBRATING 50 YEARS
R. Heatrick Ltd has come a long way since the late Robert Heatrick started out in 1969, the company now celebrates 50 years in business and aims to continue growth in all aspects of the business. The company’s fleet consists of over 50 trucks, 100 trailers, 1200 skips and a wealth of machines and plant.
